Error from bootloader: too many bootable disks

While checking something for a co-worker I ran into an issue recently reported in one of my comments.  Seems that it is possible to not be able to boot a PV ubuntu VM with an ISO mounted.  This is because the CD VBD is marked bootable.  The full error is “The bootloader for this VM returned an error — did the VM installation succeed?  Error from bootloader: too many bootable disks.”  The fix is the same as for the xe-edit-bootloader error I reported previously.  http://www.aikidokatech.com/?p=23

Adding your own certificate to the XenClient Synchronizer

The Synchronizer for XenClient comes with its own certificate.  However most final installations will want to have their organization’s signed certificate so it is trusted automatically.  My lab environment is very simple.  There is a root CA and no intermediate CAs.  There will be differences in a properly designed environment with intermediate CAs that might change a few steps.

Adding custom root certificates to Android

While trying to setup a NetScaler VPX to allow my Droid X to connect to my Citrix lab environment I ran into a certificate issue.  I am using an in-house CA and apparently Google has not developed any easy means (that I could find) to import a third-party root CA.  To me this is vital to a business scenario.  Fortunately a guide Citrix has written has one method to add the certificate.

Droid X = Good, Blur = Bad

Fix for Provisioning Server bnns.sys stop error

Error 100013 adding X509Anchors cert in Snow Leopard

My office recently brought up an instance of Office Communications Server 2007 R2.  After connecting via my Windows 7 laptop I decided to try Microsoft Messenger on the Mac.  It seems that Apple and MS cannot make anything simple.  Adding the certificate not only required manually adding a keychain Apple seems to be phasing out, but the way Snow Leopard is configured, trying to add the cert simple produces an Error 100013 which is oh so descriptive.
